Based on Laura's "Rope Doodle" Part 2

Sorry that I'm entering this in really small portions, but it's the only way I will remember to put stuff up here

Mission: Get attacked by Doug's Dogs

“What do you need me to do?” She smiled innocently; trying to ignore the fact she was undeniably about to commit several felonies.

“Police evidence database.” That was the only thing Natalie needed to know. She pushed her glasses up her nose and set to work with a satisfied smirk on her face, eager for the challenge that she was about to face

Nichole finally slouched into a chair while everyone waited with baited breath for Natalie to access the database that would allow the team to fortify their plans. Despite the tension, they slowly and quietly began to formulate a plan out loud, rather than just in the deep, convoluted recesses of their individual minds.

They had plenty of details on the police headquarters stored in their endless archives of information but they had never tried a full scale break in on the headquarters before. Everyone was worried about whether or not they could pull it off effectively but their plans continued to pull together, nonetheless. An air vent on the roof would be an easy access point that would allow them to take advantage of Anna and her helicopter and give them and easy access point. It also gave them a way to enter without being forced to climb a fence topped with barbed wire. From there, the combination civilian cars and cop cars they could see around the station from the air, along with a list compiled after months of recon, would tell them which officers were on duty and which were currently employed in the field, giving them a better idea of what would be awaiting them and how to handle it. Inside, depending on which officers were on duty, they might be able to walk straight in and break open the evidence lockers to get rid of what they needed but it was equally as likely that they would have to subdue several armed officers before they were able to access the evidence they needed.

Whatever happened, while Natalie busied herself hacking, everyone else planned on how to handle it. They had plans to deal with every plausible turn their mission could take and many implausible ones as well.

“Got it!” Natalie exclaimed, quickly followed by a sign of relief. The smirks of joy quickly spread across every face in the room as they realized they now had a huge advantage.

Based on Laura's "Rope Doodle" Part 1

This is just the beginning. Mostly, i kind of want to make sure it makes sense before i keep writing. This is based on a convoluted story i made up as the background of Laura's "Rope Doodle"

The F-Team.
Mission: Get attacked by Doug’s dogs.

They rode the elevator to the top floor, burying themselves in waves of whispered curses. Nichole and Suzy were openly furious, while Laura and Jennifer kept their sentiments to themselves despite their anger and fear being palpable. Monica kept her head down and her thoughts to herself in order to not provoke anyone more than she already had. Her actions were the reason for the failure of their previous mission and the cause of their current predicament.

Nichole stormed into the penthouse that served as their headquarters at the head of the pack, as always. She bellowed for Natalie, who supposedly arrived ten minutes ahead of them. Monica began and continued to spew apologies until Pluto, being as overly sensitive to his owner’s emotions as he was, wrapped himself around her ankle, begging for attention. The rest of the team settled violently into the luxurious chairs and sofas around the room, all wondering the same thing, “What happens next?”

They had never screwed up quite so badly before. Monica had accidentally triggered a security alarm no one knew about and forced them to clear out of their intended target before they were able to get rid of any forensic evidence. Despite their current state of panic, knowing every piece of evidence they had left behind gave them a distinct advantage. Being professional criminals also gave them a distinct advantage but they all assumed that.

While Nichole stormed around the room, waiting for Natalie to arrive, everyone’s doubts and fear began to grow. The adrenaline from their quick and clumsy flight was wearing off and terrifying visions of the uncertainty lying ahead took its place. Most of the evidence left behind was fairly damning and the whole team knew that the police were eager to convict them of anything.
Knowing that they were relatively screwed didn’t stop anyone from trying to think up ways out of the punishment that awaited them. Jennifer’s plan involved a cunning and patience that none of them possessed. Monica’s involved enough explosives to put the entire police force out of commission and draw the attention of most of the country, which would for sure get them caught. But these unrealistic plans plus the rest of the outrageous plans everyone had formed would come together, like they always did, and form a very near flawless plan that would save their collective asses.

When Natalie finally arrived, Anna was close on her tail and the tension in the air could have suffocated anybody unfamiliar with the scenario at hand. In their typical fashion, no one said a word until they had all assured themselves, to the best of their ability, that these were indeed members of the team and not imposters. Natalie immediately getting through the security system on their computer was their first big hint.

“What do you need me to do?” She smiled innocently, trying to ignore the fact she was undeniably about to commit several felonies.

Rope Doodle

Haha, I don't even know what this is.  Nichole and Jennifer are sneaking in somewhere and run into Sherbert and Spike, I guess.....

Monica's Story :D

Monica sent me this over email:

The F-Team Mission X

The piercing ring of the phone made her jump as she drove down the highway so late at night. “Answer” she spoke slowly so her hands free device would understand. As she heard the ringing stop she spoke “Hello?” The response wasn’t a shock.
“Get over here,” Laura’s voice stung after the quite drive she had been enjoying.
“Okay, I’ll be right there.” Nichole quickly checked her mirrors and her blind spot, although she already knew she was the only car around for miles, then swung across the four lanes highway, getting off at the next exit. Though quite annoying, she had to admit Laura’s timing was dead on. The timing of the phone call had allowed her to get off the highway less than a block from the apartment.
The blackness of night had stolen the color from the bright flower arrangements that led into the complex. Your average person might have found it creepy but Nichole preferred it this way, as she knew her teammates did as well. The walls were stone and gray brick that cast subtle but incredibly eerie shadows across themselves without sunlight present to fill the dark lines between stones.
Running her hands along the walls, Nichole jogged up the steps as stealthily as she would were she on a mission. You never know who’s watching. She slid the key from her back pocket and unlocked the door.
“What is it?” The words had escaped her mouth before the door had opened far enough for her to see whose faces lay inside. Monica let out a small squeak while Laura and Jennifer simply stared expectantly over the computer monitor. “Fine, I know what it is. Details, please?”
“We’re waiting for Suzy, I don’t want to have to go over everything a hundred and twenty times.” Laura said quietly without raising her eyes from the monitor or interrupting the steady sound of the keyboard clacking beneath her fingers. Or it might have been Jennifer typing; she couldn’t see either of their hands.
She took a few steps further inside while looking over her shoulder to make sure the door was locked. As she felt her eyes adjusting to the bright room, her ears were working overtime listening for anything suspicious. Paranoia always got the best of her. Despite her training and the intense silence around her, nothing struck her as suspicious. A television in an adjacent apartment, the keyboard clacking, the obnoxiously loud tick of Jennifer’s watch that always drove her nuts, and the ghost-like purring of Monica’s eerie black cat. Suddenly, footsteps. She saw the rest of the team’s eyes’ jump up as well. After a second they collectively relaxed, it was Suzy. They all recognized the sound of her footsteps, it was distinctive, unique even, and when you spent as much time listening as they did, a sound as distinctive as this was always a relief.
The doorknob turned, the lock clicked, and Nichole felt her back arch and nerves go on end despite the certainty that it was Suzy opening the door. Damn, stupid paranoia. Pluto, the cat, hissed and bolted off under a chair. Suzy entered and immediately went to the computer taking Monica’s seat as she launched herself onto the floor to lure her cat back into her lap.
“Okay, now, can we get details?” Nichole shot at Laura. Laura answered with a dirty look, it was playful but there was still a bit of honest spite in it. Nichole knew that she would get annoyed as well if the team were constantly pestering her for details, so she didn’t feel offended.
Laura cleared her throat importantly before starting, hoping to get Monica out from under the chair. “Just start, she already read it over your shoulder,” Jennifer stated.
“Mostly, I was hoping she’d shut up before I started but, whatever,” she cleared her throat once more, “So, as you all know, there are a couple of targets we’ve been planning on hitting up for a while.”
“Like that jewelry store with the owner who buys blood diamonds and supports all those barbaric rebel groups in various African countries?” Nichole questioned, unsure of exactly which targets Laura was referring to.
“Like that bank with the scummy board of directors who report charity donations they aren’t making just so they can get a tax break?” Suzy inquired, as Monica finally brought her cat out from under the chair and stopped cooing at it.
            “Like that-“
“Yes, all of those places, the whole list, well not the whole list, but, my point is there seems to be another team out there who is going down a really similar list to ours and it’s gonna start screwing with our plans. If they are taking these places out before we can, then we have no work. They seem to be a lot quicker at planning these things our, so they are probably a lot sloppier about it.”
“We know they are a lot sloppier,” Monica interjected. “The cops are getting suspicious, which is also really bad for us.”
Jennifer jumped in at this point. “I was thinking that we could do a stake out and confront whoever this is. They’ve already taken out three of our top targets, if we stake out the next one on the list; they’re bound to show up eventually.”
“Their last hit was two weeks ago and there was exactly sixteen days between the earlier robberies so I say we start the stakeout as soon as possible to look for suspicious characters and possible set up and any other scheming that might be happening around the building.”
“Do we know which target is next?” Suzy asked while her eyes flicked down the document opened on the monitor.
“We’ve been thinking about that. We think it’s the storage facility on 6th that the owner uses for cockfighting after hours. Poor little chickies.” Monica made a sickeningly cute face at her cat with her final statement.
The next several hours spent working out a schedule for their stakeout and perfecting their stakeout method, including how to warn others of any information that was collected in the process and what the plan was when their opposition began their hit on the facility. Finally, just as the sun began to rise, the plans were done and Jennifer took off quickly to prepare before her shift on stakeout.
As Jennifer left the room, Laura tried to stifle a yawn and failed. Her failure meant that the yawn was passed around the room several times before they collectively stopped yawning. “I guess that means we should all get to sleep,” Laura stated as she stood up and headed towards the door. The rest followed her out of the room groggily and headed towards their respective beds.
While the rest of the team hunkered down for some sleep before they had to deal with their day jobs or work for the team, Jennifer found an average looking car and filled it with some empty boxes before she head over to the storage lockers. Her job was to scope the place for anything that was different from their latest blueprints and see what, if anything, had already been done by their competition for the impending break in.
She entered slowly, casually, a smallish box under one arm, the only one that actually had contents. When she reached the front desk she placed the box on the counter and cleared her throat lightly as she reached for her wallet.
“Can I help you?” a balding man behind the counter asked with more than a little bit of disdain. His bad comb-over and cracked glasses were distracting but Jennifer did her best to ignore them and focus on being personable.
“Yes, do you rent on a monthly basis?” she asked in her best impersonation of friendly and honest. The man still looked suspicious but that was most likely related to the fact that he was a criminal.
“Yes, two hundred a month plus a fifty dollar security deposit for your medium sized locker. Five foot by ten foot, ground floor, pay upfront.”

Mission Ideas and Background Stories

Nichole's Mission Ideas

1. we find out that a CEO of a bank is embezzling funds that would have gone to some charity, and we go in to the bank where he is (and where his money is) and shoot him. we then take the money and make an anonymous donation to the charity. later it shows that we took some of his personal money (that he didnt embezzle) for ourselves.
2. There is a serial killer loose (in LA?) and we compete with the cops to hunt him down. Later we find out its a her, and she is well established in the criminal underground (we've all heard of her). She is on a murdering spree because her partner was shot and she can't handle the grief, so she takes it out on others. Then, we find out she kidnapped Arend with the intention of killing him, and we have to rescue him (unfortunately for us) Arend witnesses us killing her (in order to save others), and we are subsequently wanted by the police. We have a moment in the apartment where we discuss whether its ok to kill in order to save more lives.
3. There is a gang of robbers in town, and they are targeting places we have been considering robbing (a jewelry store that gets it's diamonds from slave-operated mines in Africa, another fraudulent bank, etc.) and we plan a stakeout so we can find out who these people are. They turn out to be a group of guys that's similar to our group, and they propose an alliance to rob a high-security compound. Along the way some of us get crushes on some of the guys in their group, but jennifer is suspicious of them, and thinks they will double-cross us. It turns out she is right, and during the operation they leave us holding the bag (metaphorically & literally speaking). We barely make it out alive.
4. We go hunting for the group of guys that double-crossed us. We get close several times, each time resulting in lots of gunfire, knife-throwing, etc. We finally track them down, and have an epic battle of sorts. We win, obviously, though we had to kill their leader. Arend & the rest of the police force find them after we've left, & swear to find us. Later, the girls in our group who had crushes on some of their group generally act heart-sick & what not.

Laura's Background Ideas:

Jennifer: Her parents and sister were killed by corrupt police officers when she was young, and her mother and sister were raped.  She doesn't really trust men, and hates cops with a passion.  She is sent to an orphanage where she pretends to be a perfect student in school, but in reality, she sneaks out to play poker with a couple of local criminals.  She is a genius at both playing poker, and stealing money from those that displease her.  The criminals take a liking to her ( I dunno how they met yet) and they teach her how to use weapons.  They also give her a nice collection of knives.  She's always looking for gullible kids to help her with her schemes.

Laura: (lol third person.  This is also one of my most developed ones XD) Her father was a violent sociopath, but her mother didn't figure it out until it was too late.  Her mother tried to leave him and get a divorce to protect her children (me and Johnny) but he eventually tracked them down and brutally murdered her mother by shooting her multiple times while the kids were watching.  Laura grabs a knife out of the kitchen to defend herself and her brother from her father.  He threatens both of them with the gun, telling them how he will kill them.  Laura manages to stab him with the knife before any of his shots can hurt them.  She becomes terrified of guns and feels a connection to knives.  She and her brother are sent to separate places.  She ends up at the same orphanage with Jennifer.  Jennifer forces her to do well in school and promises her the collection of knives if she helps her out in one of her schemes.

Nichole: (You can change it to whatever you want, but this is what I have so far) She basically lives by herself in a gigantic mansion, but never gets to see her parents.  Suspicious people are always coming by her house to see her parents.  She can't seem to figure out where her parents get their money.  Luckily, her parents have a private shooting range, so she spends all of her time developing her shooting skills.  She begins to suspect her parents are involved in criminal activities, so she looks up their private files while they're away on a "work trip".  When they return, they suspect somebody has read their files, but she is such a good actress, they don't ever suspect it's her.  She leaks some of their secrets to the police, and soon she hears the news that her parents have died in a horrible "accident" and all of their fortune was left to her.  Wanting nothing to do with their dirty money, she donates it to a charity and begins to find her own way in the world.

Mission 1, Page 1

Although technically it's not the team's first mission together, I opted to call it mission one to make organization simpler.  Oh, and by the way, I know the last panel doesn't have a speech bubble...I'll have to fix that later.
